Students Design Memorial

After School Matters, a non-profit organization providing year-round, after-school opportunities for Chicago high school teens, teamed with LIUNA Chicago Laborers’ District Council and Eckenhoff Saunders to design a unique mosaic honoring fallen laborers. The art is prominently featured on LiUNA’s new expanded training facility in North Austin.

Eckenhoff Saunders led the design effort for LiUNA’s new facility expansion to accommodate their growing membership requiring training and educational support. The new 53,000 sf facility features bays for equipment and vehicle training, classrooms, a new dining facility, and a steel cutting shop. Additional information is available on the LiUNA project page.
