We did something EXTRAORDINARY!!! @aianational announced that Eckenhoff Saunders won a 2024 AIA Healthcare Design Award for the design of @howardbrownhealth Halsted, a new five-story, 91,000 sf healthcare clinic in Chicago’s Northalsted neighborhood. The awards were announced at AIA24, AIA’s national conference in Washington, D.C., recognizing the most innovative, functional, and sustainable projects in healthcare and design. Mark Nichols, Mark Parrucci, Jacob Wahler AIA, NCARB, LEED GA, and Frankie Reynolds accepted the award on our team’s behalf. This award is not just a recognition of a building but a celebration of what we can achieve when we work together with passion and purpose. Congrats to everyone involved in making this project a reality. Did someone say, “Go Dawgs?!” We welcomed Maryjane S. from the @thisissiu Interior Design program to learn all about the profession from our AMAZING team! Maryjane’s jam-packed schedule included office tours, product rep meetings, and deep dives from our team on all project phase types (design development, furniture and project palette selections, and construction administration, to name a few). It was an INCREDIBLE visit! We hope it will inspire her to do great things in the future, and of course, she and other students are always welcome back! A big shout-out to SIU alums Nikki Manno and Jessica LaPointe for coordinating Maryjane’s visit and to all our staff who helped her learn more about the tight-knit Eckenhoff Saunders family and our PASSION for design!
