Eckenhoff Saunders Receives 2025 American Architecture Award for Oregon Winery
Eckenhoff Saunders is honored to announce that our Oregon Winery project in Dundee Hills, Oregon has been recognized as a 2025 American Architecture Awards winner by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design, in collaboration with The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.
The awards presentation took place on December 11, 2025, at a gala reception and dinner hosted at The Arts Club of Chicago. Walt Eckenhoff, FAIA, and Daniel Saavedra, AIA, of Saavedra Group Architects, accepted the award on behalf of the project team.
About the Project
Set within an 80-acre vineyard in Oregon wine country, the Oregon Winery is envisioned as a wine production and entertainment pavilion that brings guests into direct connection with the landscape. The design features an expressive, wave-like roofline, expansive glazing that blurs indoor and outdoor space, and a tiered outdoor setting that supports gatherings, tastings, and live programming. Natural materials, carefully crafted interior spaces, and an emphasis on sustainability reinforce the project’s relationship to the land and the experience of viticulture.
