Eckenhoff Saunders Leads Design of After School Matters’ New Executive Offices
Eckenhoff Saunders is proud to partner with After School Matters (ASM) as lead architect, planner, and interior designer for the nonprofit’s new executive offices. ASM is a nationally recognized organization that has served more than 350,000 Chicago teens and engages nearly 19,000 each year through arts and enrichment programs. Working closely with ASM stakeholders from visioning through final layout and finishes, our team delivered a dynamic, flexible, modern work environment that supports multiple ways of working and reflects ASM’s mission.
The design emphasizes transparency, collaboration, and choice. Glass-fronted meeting rooms and private offices line a central spine, while open workstations are balanced with a range of focus and teaming zones so staff can move easily between heads-down tasks and group work. Mission-driven graphics and material accents create a cohesive identity throughout the workplace.
This project represents a true collaborative effort between After School Matters and our design team. The new executive offices create an environment that supports productivity while reflecting ASM’s mission to enrich the lives of Chicago’s teens and staff alike.
