To expand Rush University Medical Center’s (RUMC) renowned multi-specialty services into the community, the healthcare group developed a new patient-centered clinic at Rush Oak Park Hospital. The new 10,800 sf space expands specialty services on the campus, including dermatology, hepatology, gastroenterology, allergy, rheumatology, surgery, oncology, and cardiology. The space design is based on the off-stage/on-stage planning concept.
This planning concept allows the care team to collaborate together in a unified environment directly adjacent to the patient exam rooms. This improves communication among the caregivers and the efficiency of care to the patients. Eckenhoff Saunders worked closely with the team to further strengthen the RUMC brand with standard design elements and finish selections.
