The Brother’s Residence is a private dwelling for members of the Congregation of Alexian Brothers, a religious order with a healing ministry. Their home is modest in amenities but gracious in form.
The narrower arc of the 7,400 sf structure houses bedrooms and an administrative office. The complementary wider arc contains communal rooms and the chapel — the interior blends into the exterior at a long glassy corridor bordering the Zen courtyard. The contemplative tone is completed with a warm but austere palette, underscored by exposed beams and wood siding.
