203 North LaSalle

Chicago, Illinois (Loop)

Building Owners and Managers Association of Chicago (BOMA) 2019 TOBY Award Recipient –
Regional and Local Renovated Building Category

203 North LaSalle was initially constructed in 1986 and is an important transportation hub with connections to CTA, the Thompson Center, and the Skybridge link. The building was recently purchased by new owners who chose to transform the public areas and add amenities. Levels one and two have been redesigned, including the west entry lobby, atrium, and ground-level retail.

The second floor features tenant lounges, conference space, a fitness center, and locker rooms. After completing the project, Eckenhoff Saunders was appointed as the building architect, providing design services, including test fits of prospective tenant build-outs, demolition and white boxing, production of marketing materials, and numerous interior renovation projects. In addition to ESA’s work on the entry, lobby, and amenity spaces, the firm also developed turnkey build-outs for multiple tenants in the same location, including TCS Education System, American Family Insurance, InnerWorkings, and a recently completed 1950 spec suite.
