Edgewater Lakefront Redevelopment: Emanuel Congregation Campus

Eckenhoff Saunders is proud to serve as lead architect, partnering with Emmanuel Congregation and Fern Hill, on a proposed redevelopment of the synagogue’s lakefront campus at 5959 N. Sheridan Road in Chicago’s Edgewater neighborhood.

The vision reimagines the property with a new synagogue and a significant residential component. Multiple massing options are being studied to thoughtfully integrate housing, community uses, and open space along the lakefront while honoring the congregation’s future needs.
