Howard Brown Health Halsted Receives AIA National Design Excellence Award

The American Institute of Architects announced that Eckenhoff Saunders has won a 2024 AIA Healthcare Design Award for the design of Howard Brown Health Halsted, a new five-story, 91,000 sf healthcare clinic in Chicago’s Northalsted neighborhood. The awards were announced at AIA24, AIA’s national conference in Washington, D.C., recognizing the most innovative, functional, and sustainable projects in healthcare and design throughout the U.S. To select the winning projects, a jury evaluates entrants according to the AIA’s Framework for Design Excellence, a set of ten principles for achieving sustainable, resilient, and accessible design. Mark Nichols, AIA, FACHA, Principal, Jacob Wahler, AIA, NCARB, Principal, Mark Parrucci, AIA, Senior Associate, of Eckenhoff Saunders and Frankie Reynolds, Director of Business Development, Real Estate, and Construction of Howard Brown Health were on hand in D.C. to receive the award.
