Zion Woods Breaks Ground

A groundbreaking ceremony was held last week for Zion Woods, a multi-family affordable housing project in Deerfield, Illinois, that has been a long time in the making. Eckenhoff Saunders is teaming with the Housing Opportunity Development Corporation and Brinshore Development as lead architect and planner. The project is targeting a 2025 completion and seeks to create housing opportunities for families working in the area that are challenged to find affordable housing as well as for individuals living with disabilities.

The project site is located on land donated from nearby Zion Lutheran Church. For the 25 new homes, 13 will feature one bedroom/one bath, seven will have 2 bedrooms/2 baths, and five units will have 3 bedrooms/2 baths.
