ESA has designed nearly 50 branch banks for First American Bank using a prototype the firm developed that can be adapted to any site, banking function, or municipality. The 3,000 sf Glenview branch is located along a busy thoroughfare. Its broad overhanging roof and accentuated horizontal lines echo the Prairie style design of the neighboring shopping center. Large windows framed with built-up horizontal mullions provide a view of the beech wood panels lining the lobby space, which features a marble and wood teller counter on a slate lobby floor. Mechanical equipment is entirely contained within a mezzanine space allowing for an uninterrupted roof surface.
